Food Drive to benefit We Care in Chapin Results

What a wonderful generous community we live in here in Ballentine and beyond.  Between Ballentine Civic Association members and community members this is the tally collected in the 2/13 Scout Food Drive.  Thank you all so much.

The scouts collected 3700 pounds of food and delivered this to We Care in Chapin.
This was the most collected by this group since they have started this many years ago.
The scouts troops 412 and 411 and the cub scout pack 411 thank you all for your support and outpouring to help our neighbors.

Assistant Scout Master and Proud Ballentine Civic Association Member,
Ann Stewart-Akers

MARINA ROAD CLEANUP 2/20/21 8:00 AM

Marina Road adopt a highway event on 2/20 at 8:00 am.  As always meet at the First Citizens Bank on Rt. 76 and Marina Road.  Pickers, vests and orange bags will be provided.  The more people, the faster it goes.   We have been having a great turn out the past few times, which is very much appreciated.  We hope to see you then.  From what I remember it only took about 45 minutes last time.  This is a safe event since everyone works on their own and are not close to one another.

Old Road rezoning request - Richard Franklin Estates

There is a request for rezoning on Old Road from RU to RS-LD. Details provided indicate up to 9 residential units could be placed on those two parcels if rezoned.

If there is objection to this it is recommended sending your comments to covid19@richlandcountysc.gov.

Ballentine Civic Association Dues

Now that the Ballentine Civic Association is back and meeting the first Monday's of the month (through May 3rd), be advised that an invoice is attached and is payable upon receipt.
It has been a  hard 2020 and we are hoping things can get to a new normal.  The invoice covers the full year even though we do not meet in the summers.  It was hard to get anyone to attend since they would rather be off and playing.
We know many of you have already paid your dues and that is greatly appreciated.  We will be doing our local charitable donations within the next few months.  Your dues go to support those charities. Send the dues to the address on the invoice.

Thanking you in advance,
Joan Tweed
Secretary Ballentine Civic Association
